These tools are very easy to use, but only they are efficient when we have geometric forms.

Bits and Pixels in Photoshop
Bits and Pixels in Photoshop
The article on this site titled Pixels and Resolution in Photoshop explains that a pixel is a small square of digital information. The pixels are laid out in a mathematical grid and so do not deteriorate when copied – the mathematical pattern is just reconstructed. Now we'll look further into what this means in terms of image size and quality.A bit is a unit of colour information. A 1 bit pixel has two choices. In the computer binary system, it can be 1 or 0, on of off. In practice it can be black or white. In simplistic graphic terms, imagine a pixel as a rod with the colour on the end, so this 1 bit pixel can only represent black or white. An 8 bit pixel has greater pixel depth or bit depth and can contain and display much more colour information.
As each bit has two choices, 8 bits have 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2 or 256 choices. So 8 bits means 28 or 256 colours. A complete image which is only an 8 bit pixel image is likely to be a greyscale or an indexed colour image. A colour image in this category will have 8 bits on each of the red, green and blue channels. The total pixel content of the image combine to make the file size. An 8 bit pixel uses one 'byte' of computer memory and a thousand bytes amount to one 'kilobyte' of memory. The greater the bit depth or pixel depth in this 'rod' of digital information, the greater will be the number of colours and information stored.
Therefore, the digital image will give a more accurate representation of the original. Photoshop CS can handle most functions in 16 bits per channel, or a 48 bit image. Earlier versions of Photoshop can handle only a limited range of tasks in 16 bit, while Elements will work in an 8 bit per channel image. Many scanners can scan film in 16 bit per channel mode and this will capture considerably more information and hence more colours, tones and details. In actual fact, Photoshop works in 15 bit + 1 unit, which amounts to 215. This produces 32,769 values, which is still considerably more than in standard 8 bit mode.Open an image.
At the top of the image frame, it is likely to say RGB/8, indicating RGB Color Mode in 8 bit.
Go to Image > Mode and you will see there is a tick by 8 Bits / Channel. Drop down to 16 Bits / Channel. This does not make the image true 16 bit but it's only for illustrative purposes.
Click on the different menu items in the top menu bar and you will see that some of them are greyed out, particularly with the Filters, meaning they will not function in 16 bit mode. However, all the Adjustments under Image are available which means doing colour and tonal corrections on a 48 bit image is a great advantage – more tones will be retained.
Summary
8 bits per channel give 256 colours per channel, and an RGB image of 24 bit
16 bits per channel give 32,769 colours per channel, and an RGB image of 48 bit

A Try: From PSD to HTML
A Try: From PSD to HTML
As a web designer you're working with Photoshop all day and night to give your creativity a life. Now you want to convert your PSD files (jpg, png or any other format that Photoshop is capable of reading) in a valid and CSS/ (X) HTML.
If you are going through the routine practice of first going to File / Save for the web, everything gets converted to image, but the worst part is that this page is generated in nested tables. Those who are experienced of working in nested tables in HTML know very well what could be the problems through which he/she may pass. For example, just make a small change to text within a cell and it becomes unable to find the right configuration.
There is also a mode that allows you to transform everything in div or division. First open the file with Photoshop and tweak with ImageReady. Then go from the file menu and edit in ImageReady.
Subsequently cut your document using the option "slice". This will allow you to define all the different parts of your web page (for example, the header, menu, etc.). This will separate the images into numerous lines and blue squares numbered.
Now you need the output parameters: go to the File menu / output setting and select the following parameters:
Preset: custom preset: custom
Slice output: generate CSS, referenced: by ID slice output: generated CSS, referenced: by ID (This will convert the slices into pictures along with coding)
Now that we have defined the output options, click on OK. (This validates the settings, but doesn’t create the file yet). So you must save the result, using "Save optimized" (inside the File menu).
In this way ImageReady has created the "images" containing all the pictures and a cut above contains an HTML file that is in the source code of the CSS.
If you want to view, copy, modify the CSS or the source, code is sufficient to open the file in your favorite browser and view the source code.
The job is done; image ready will create an “image” folder with all the sliced images and HTML file containing all source codes.
Xhtml.pixelcrayons.com converts your design files from various common image formats (PSD, JPG, GIF, PNG, AI) into best quality cross-browser compatible W3C validated XHTML/CSS markup. Check xhtml.pixelcrayons for our PSD to XHTML Conversion and PSD slicing services.

Learn Photoshop Now...Never Feel Stuck Again
Color Model: When you hear the term color model we are referring to the method from which we define or classify the color we are to work with. Examples of such are RGB, LAB, CMYK, etc. Color Space: A color space is simply a variation of your color model. For instance, within your RGB framework some common variations are, sRGB,Adobe RGB, and so on. Some of these spaces are better for display e.g. sRGB and Wide Gamut RGB while other color spaces are more suited to printing e.g. ColorMatch RGB and Adobe RGB. Now, it is important to note that every device in our workflow utilizes it's own unique color space. Meaning, while your monitor, scanner, and printer will base their color spaces basically on what we can see their actual gamut (range of colors) will differ. This is where we lose our consistency across devices. This is the problem we must attend to.
In your CMS you should be given the option to save your printer target for printing within your chosen graphic app. If asked choose not to apply a profile when opening. In Photoshop choose File>Print with Preview. Change the Output dropdown to Color Management. Under Source Space choose Document. Under Print Space choose Profile: Same as Source. You are now set up in Photoshop to print your profile target. You aren't done yet! Now go into your printer driver software and set any color options to none, or zero, or whatever shuts off any color changes by the driver. Now print your target.
Okay, now that we've created all of the profiles, time to implement them. You monitor profile should be getting applied upon startup by your operating system, so let's move on to your scanner. Scan in an image-once again using the exact same settings that were used to create the profile (other than resolution). In Photoshop choose Image Menu>Assign Profile. Then choose Profile: Your Scanner Profile. Having done all of the previous steps in Photoshop correctly, you should now be amazed at how your image colors changes to appear incredibly like the original that you've just scanned in. From here go to Image Menu>Convert to Profile and choose working RGB from the profile selections. This will convert your document to the native RGB working space of Photoshop. When printing you will apply the printer profile by once again choosing File>Print with Preview, select Document as your Source Space (which this time should be your Working RGB space) and in your Print Space choose Profile: Your Printer Profile. Remember once again to disable any color options in your printer driver. Finally, Print!
Adobe Photoshop has also led to a whole new level of art and animation. Did you know that tablets were developed specifically with Adobe Photoshop in mind? Artists of today have gone beyond using paints and a canvas. Today's painters make use of tablet sensors and Adobe Photoshop to produce their masterpieces. With thetechnology of Adobe Photoshop, people are able to take the art of drawing, add a bit of computer technology, and come up with a whole new genre of animation. In the past, images had to be saved as specific file types in order to be usable for Adobe Photoshop. However, because of the proliferation of digital cameras and camera phones today, Adobe Photoshop can actually import the photographs directly from the sources. This means that the gap between taking the picture and sharing it is reduced.
However, like almost any other person who has been held back by the fear that the Photoshop CS might be too sophisticated and complicated to be learned, there is a need to first familiarize with the basic and the advanced functions of the software. Even AdobeSystems recognize the fact that its Photoshop CS offering is challenging to use. Do not fret. There are now numerous ways on how you could easily and conveniently get a tutorial for the software. You would logically not be able to learn how to use thecomputer program for yourself. However, there are many centers and firms that aim to provide crash courses and lessons for the initiative. Find a personal tutorial center for Adobe Photoshop within your community. Usually, such centers train and educate people about many other computer programs as well. Enroll in such sessions. You would be left to decide whether you would prefer the classroom setup or the personal instruction or the one-on-one session.
Manipulate objects in the Adobe Bridge. This new generation of file browser enables you to look at photographs and artwork in detail before you open the file, process multiple Camera Raw images, flip through pages in PDF documents, size, rate and organise your work in a convenient and highly user-friendly way. Goes way beyond the capabilities of the File Browser introduced in Photoshop 7. Get rid of imperfections with the Spot Healing Bush The Spot Healing brush enables you to get rid of slight imperfections - like dust or scratches at the click of a mouse. Unlike the Healing Brush or Patch tools, you don't have to find a source point first. Remove "red-eye" in an instant. With older versions of Photoshop, removing red-eye and pet-eye was possible, but it wasn't easy. Now, one click of the Red Eye removal tool can remove pet-eye and red-eye from your photographs, in less time than it takes your subject to say "cheese!".
